I’m sayin’
What up. I'm Abjekt. I'm 27, I'm from South London and I love all of the following: Beats, typing "wet" and then an animal into google image search, dancing like a badman from the future, rapping at my reflection to any song that comes out of my speakers, pasta and sauce and hating the Pohleese.
I’ve just been listening to this 7” non-stop for a long time because it’s so good. Paper Tiger is one of my favourite producers and you should support independent hip hop and pick this up because that would make you a fucking excellent person with a good heart and pretty face.
Or whatever.
End To End Burners by Company Flow.
This song was my SHIT for a good while back in the day. Still kicks it now too.
So RJD2 has a new album out on January 19th.
Deadringer is one of my favourite albums of all time and Since We Last Spoke is a surefire banger. I even thought The Third Hand was alright though obviously wish he’d stayed closer to his hop hop roots.
Well, this new album, The Colossus, is, in fact, going back to more hip hop [read: excellent drums]. It’s got singers on it, including Kenna, which is fine. The widget above has the full track with Kenna plus some snippets which I’m basing this post on. Cannot freaking WAIT.
Just started reading Bendis’ run on Daredevil again. Love his dialogue-heavy shit. Plus the art by Alex Maleev is suitably amazing, the above being a great example of it.
This is the latest badman design by my homeboy Dirrrtee. Perfect for Xmas innit. You should support independent designers and grab something from his store HERE.
Nada de Nada by Farmacia.
No idea who this lot are beyond the fact they’re from Argentina and this song is in the trailer for Los Paranoicos [The Paranoids] and it’s fucking catchy. The film looks badderman too.
Dixon’s Girl by Dessa.
Dessa broke this out at this year’s Blowout. Unsurprisingly for a Doomtree member, she’s ace and this beat fits her perfectly [whatup MK Larada]. You can download it for free by clicking HERE.
The album, A Badly Broken Code, is out on January 19th. Don’t watch that, pre-order ASAP.
Tempa T’s Next Hype is one of the best songs of 2009. A soundboard has been made. Life is very, very good. Click the photo to get to it and shout DRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPES!
